When the wealthy “Lord” and “Lady” Blackmore left England to tour the West, they agreed that if either should die on their travels, they would simply be laid to rest where they perished. Unfortunately, the beautiful socialite Mary Blackmore fell ill in Bozeman and died in General Lester Willson’s home. William Blackmore bought five acres to bury Mary, and donated the land to the town for use as a cemetery. More »
